modfilms.net is an online story platform powered by a database of film MODs (or Modifications). Inspired by the game MOD community and centuries of Source material, our community tracks the re-use of media and influences across all stories, all media, at both commercial and amateur levels, past and present. Let's not be the generation that loses track of its culture. Join in the fun and lets take a snapshot of the craft that dares not speak its name - from clever re-versioning, obvious influences, through to bad imitations and of course all those blatant rip-offs we know and love! It doesn't matter where a MOD or Source actually lives - we just want to know about the relationships.

This platform is hosted by MOD Films, a film company producing original content and story-related web services.

We are excited about the future of film-making but it isn't going anywhere without creative risks and experimenting with the form. A more transparent system of film distribution, attribution and credits is on its way - one which rewards both the creators and the fans. This service aims to get the ball rolling.
